Educational Offer
We offer a range of educational visits in response to the Department for Education’s National Curriculum.
Staff provide education sessions in both the Museum galleries and the education room in the Visitor Centre.
In 2012 we received the Sandford Award, an independently judged assessment of education programmes at heritage sites, museums, archives and collections across the British Isles.

Site History
The only surviving manor house in Dagenham, Valence House dates back to medieval times. The moat was dug to encircle the house over 700 years ago! Most of the Valence House grounds are now Valence Park.
